You can never have too much lace in our book. We love it! Since its origins in 16th century Venice, lace has never been out of fashion. While we can’t offer you regal ruffs and lace collars, we have got lots of beautiful lace-trimmed products. Broderie anglaise, a type of embroidered whitework with cut out eyelets, is a traditional trim and adds a pretty touch to some of our nightwear styles and clothing for little ones and we have products made from Battenburg lace - pretty motifs made from lengths of cotton tape and also light and airy crocheted lace.
Our Battenburg lace parasols for children and adults are the perfect accessory for holidays and weddings and to complete the look for lovers of vintage clothing. The 46cm adult version is available in white and cream and the child’s version is 33cm and in cream only. We also have Battenburg lace fans in black, cream and white which are perfect for costume parties and a glamorous accessory for summer days. Lace adds feminine and romantic detailing to many of our styles of 100% cotton all-white nightwear. ‘Margo’ is one of our prettiest nightdresses – it features fluted capped sleeves, embroidered roses, delicate ties at the neckline, pin-tucking and a trim of broderie anglaise lace on the hem. Broderie anglaise also edges the square neckline and embroidered bodice of ‘Pearl’, another popular short-sleeved style and ‘Elisa’ features a bodice of bands of crocheted lace.
Little girls do not miss out on lace embellishments – our beautiful nightdresses aged from 1-2 years up to 10-12 years have embroidered motifs including mermaids, fairies and butterflies have lace around the hems and necklines.
