I don't usually leave reviews but I thought it might be helpful to add some information regarding sizing. I am 5ft 2in and a standard size 8 and in the past have struggled to find Powell Craft nighties that fit without drowning me in metres of surplus fabric. The Violet nightdress is a good fit on me – so much so that I've just ordered a second. This style is not too voluminous but at the same time is lovely and full so doesn't wrap round my legs in bed. The cotton is not too sheer or diaphanous, although if you wear dark underwear it will show through. It feels like cotton sheeting – cool and comfortable – and washes well. The scoop neck is not too high on me and is flattering, and the arm holes don't gape too much. All in all, if you are a shorter/smaller shopper, it's definitely worth giving Violet a try!
This is a beautiful nightie - perfect length for me at 5’3’’ but perhaps a bit wide on the shoulders. I have kept it as in this v hot weather the fine cotton is wonderful.

Orange Paisley Dressing Gown I really love this print! The fabric is lighter (as in thinner, not lighter in colour) that I thought but that's ok. It's a great summer cover-up for the hot weather. If you have a short torso like me then where the tie loops are attached will be quite low on the hips and you'll need to lift it up a bit to secure it as you tie it. When I have time I'll just unpick the loops and move them a little higher to where my waist is. I'm also used to dressing gowns having the little internal tie from the front of one side to the inside side of the other - if you're debating buying this, just be aware that this doesn't have those, so the sides can work their way apart while you're wearing it despite the waist tie. I'll probably sew a little tie on myself to keep it closed so I don't accidentally flash people in the future! The design is lovely and the robe is nice and light and cool

As always the fabric is beautiful. Powell Craft items are well made and everyone loves my robes...I channel my Lady Grantham 😁. Love the quilt colours and I am now planning my autumn and winter bedroom around it. Would have liked matching pillowcases or cushions but I am going to use the bag it came in...same fabric as the quilt...to trim plain pillowcases.
