Ladies Green Margo Nightdress

Very pretty nighty but the armholes were curiously tight with an overly chunky band underneath.

I love this dress! Yes I will be wearing it a a summer dress with a slip underneath. I have a skin coloured slip dress and a khaki silk one which will both work. I was a bit concerned once ordered that it may not fit (reading some of the reviews) as I was a busty 16 and now maybe more a busty 14 (but you never really know do you?) I am talking full bosom GGs here! But it did! It is a bit column like but I like that as I don't need any extra flounces! and I don't have wide hips. I am also just 5ft 1in -ish but I do not feel it is too long. Another review mentioned the lower whiteish trim doesn't match the other cream trims but they are far apart and I am OK with that. Scored a voucher code so I am a happy bunny! (Have my eye on some other styles for summer/holiday daywear now too!)

I ordered this garment as I had been wearing the exact same one which had given me very comfortable nights for a number of years. At least I thought I was ordering exactly the same.
Ordering was easy and my parcel arrived within 24 hours - very impressive. But it wasn't until I had worn the nightie for a few nights that I became aware of differences which could not just be put down to newer firmer cotton. Dimensions were different. The straps of the new Margo are a little narrower, but more importantly the yoke across the back is almost 1-1/2" narrower which means approx 2" of width have been lost across the back resulting in a less good fit which can very occasionally feel tight. This also results in less good coverage of my shoulders from the capped sleeves. Having worn the garment for a week I am hoping there will be a bit of give in the wash rather than shrinkage as I am a slim size 14 and the larger sizes of other designs would swamp me.
However I do still love the design and fabric.

I have placed orders with Powell Craft a number of times and have always been impressed by their fabulous customer service and the gorgeous products they have.
On my first order, I gave the wrong postcode to my postal address. I received a telephone call from the team to confirm where my order needed to be sent to and it arrived the next day. I adore the old fashioned styles nighties and have bought 5 so far - all received in a lovely presentation box plus cardigans, leggings and dresses for my two year old granddaughter. All items are of the highest quality and are utterly adorable.
I cannot recommend this company enough. Just wish there was a SIX or more out of FIVE rating !!!!
